Trauma-informed transport for survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence
LIFEride is Chariots4Hope’s free shuttle transportation service designed to remove barriers for individuals and families who are unable to access reliable transportation. While car ownership remains a life-changing solution for many, it isn’t always possible or practical for everyone. Financial hardship, health challenges, life transitions, or other circumstances can make owning a vehicle unattainable, leaving individuals without dependable transportation to meet everyday needs.
Through LIFEride, Chariots4Hope provides safe, reliable, and completely free transportation to help people access essential destinations such as employment, medical appointments, education, childcare, grocery stores, and other critical services. More than simply providing rides, LIFEride ensures that a lack of transportation does not stand in the way of opportunity, stability, or self-sufficiency.
MEET CARL
We’re also excited to introduce Carl Bartenhagen, who is generously volunteering his time, talents, and leadership to oversee the LIFEride program. Carl brings a deep passion for serving others, a heart for our mission, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and families overcome transportation barriers.
His dedication, compassion, and servant leadership will play a vital role in ensuring LIFEride operates with excellence while creating meaningful connections with those we serve. We are incredibly grateful for Carl’s willingness to step into this role and for the impact he will have as he helps bring hope, opportunity, and reliable transportation to our community.
SafeRoute is a service dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and trauma-informed transport for survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. Our mission is to bridge the gap between fear and freedom by ensuring that survivors have access to compassionate, secure transportation as they transition to safer environments and begin their journeys toward healing and independence.
Our transports are limited and specialized in their scope, focusing solely on providing a one-way trip to a safe house or program facility. Whether it’s a single mother fleeing an abusive relationship or a survivor of human trafficking seeking refuge, SafeRoute is here to provide a lifeline in those experiencing their darkest hour.

Our team brings together a versatile foundation of expertise from diverse fields, including law enforcement, private investigations, close protection, legal analysis, secure and trauma-informed transport, rescue and recovery, close-quarters combat training, tactical communications, tactical medicine, and strategic consulting in counter-human trafficking and survivor support initiatives.

Ensuring that each individual feels physically, emotionally, and psychologically safe. This might include creating a welcoming, respectful environment, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing clear boundaries.

Approaching each person with empathy and validating their feelings and experiences, rather than focusing solely on behaviors or diagnoses.

HOW TO APPLY
Individuals in need of transport services must complete or have an agency they’re working with submit an application on behalf of the referred client. Once the application is submitted then the client/agency will receive an email outlining in detail next steps.
