A fundraising journey paving the way to FEEL THE FREEDOM
WHAT IS JOURNEY2FREEDOM?
JOURNEY2FREEDOM POWERED BY WILHELM MORTAGE is a one-week challenge designed to
raise awareness and funds for individuals in our community who struggle every day
without reliable transportation.
For 4 weeks, 20 individuals (our 4Runners) have committed to giving up their reliable transportation for 5 days – experiencing life just like the clients Chariots4Hope serves. They’ll navigate work, errands, and daily responsibilities using public transportation, biking, walking, or relying on others for rides.
Each week represents a different “team” of people participating as 4Runners. The 4 teams are:
Team Ford, Team Toyota, Team Chevy, and Team Dodge.
THE RULES
Along with giving up their own vehicles, every 4Runner is obligated to follow a specific set of rules in order to have an ‘accurate’ experience that is similar to those we serve.
NO BORROWING
No 4Runner is allowed to borrow anyone’s car more than once during their chosen week.
TRANSPORTATION
Along with biking and walking during the week of participation, every 4Runner will be required to take an Uber at least 1 time, and use the bus at least 1 time.
LIMITED
1 day to “borrow” a car
Maximum 3 rides during the week can be from a spouse/significant other
