WHAT IS THIS PROGRAM?
The Road2Freedom program is meticulously crafted to empower our clients with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency. Through a series of progressive educational classes, participants gradually develop the tools needed to construct a robust long-term transportation strategy that will help them remove their transportation barriers.
Clients have the opportunity to engage in a range of complimentary educational classes, both online and in-person, covering diverse transportation-related topics. Moreover, our comprehensive case management services empower clients, with expert guidance, to craft personalized long-term transportation plans aimed at surmounting obstacles and achieving sustained self-sufficiency. If you or someone you know could benefit from this form of educational support, our program is tailor-made for you.
WHAT CLASSES ARE OFFERED?
Our curriculum is continually expanding to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Presently, we offer a range of classes including:
INSURANCE 101
Gain fundamental insights into vehicle insurance and discover the most suitable coverage options.
Available online and in-person.
CAR CARE
Equip yourself with essential knowledge on maintaining your vehicle for optimal performance.

FINANCIAL FREEDOM
Learn practical strategies for managing transportation expenses and achieving long-term self-sufficiency.

SAFE DRIVING
Receive valuable guidance on maintaining a safe driving environment for yourself, passengers, and fellow road users.

DRIVE4SUCCESS
Drive4Success is an essential online module that includes Insurance 101, Car Care, and Financial Freedom classes. Upon approval into our Vehicle Ownership Program, participants are required to complete this bundled module to ensure comprehensive preparation for vehicle ownership.
TRANSPORTATION PLAN WORKSHOP
Engage in a comprehensive workshop to develop a personalized long-term transportation plan, ensuring ongoing mobility and progress on your journey.
RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
This class is tailored to explore the myriad transportation resources within your community, empowering you to devise a strategic plan for navigating them effectively. Available via Zoom or in-person sessions, it equips you with the tools to access and leverage local resources for your benefit.
CAR BUYING BASICS
Understanding how credit impacts car buying, how to build/rebuild credit, and realistic expectations for car loans. You may not realize how credit affects what kind of car you can get. This class helps set the stage for realistic planning.

LEGAL READINESS
Navigating driver’s license issues (suspensions, reinstatement), vehicle registration, insurance requirements by law, and common legal pitfalls. Legal barriers like suspended licenses or unpaid fines often block people from moving forward. This helps you know what’s ahead and what you can resolve.

TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES
Exploring rideshare programs, public transportation, carpooling apps, biking safely, etc. Not everyone will leave the program with a car, so this equips you to still gain independence and mobility.

EMERGENCY PREP
What to do if your car breaks down, how to create a roadside kit, who to call, and basic emergency skills (flat tire, jump-starting). Prevents fear and promotes confidence behind the wheel—especially important for single parents or new drivers.

This track is for individuals who are pursuing vehicle ownership or preparing for it. Whether you’re brand new to driving or ready to buy a car, we’ll meet you where you are. Not every path is necessary to complete Track 1 – our team will work with you to determine the path that best fits your situation.

This workshop welcomes anyone in our community grappling with transportation obstacles that hinder their progress. We offer select classes that can be conducted in-person at your facility for added convenience and accessibility.
WHAT DOES CASE MANAGEMENT LOOK LIKE?
Our case management services are designed to meet people right where they are in their transportation journey. Through our different “tracks” and “paths”, participants can enter the Road2Freedom program in the way that best fits their current situation.
We connect participants with the right resources for their needs, such as complimentary financial coaching from trusted partners, and work alongside them to create a personalized plan for overcoming transportation barriers.
Our dedicated program staff provides guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
